Help


AFS Space - Information about setting up your personal online storage space on university servers

Angel/Library Help - For help with Angel and library electronic resources, call 1-800-500-1554 or 517-355-2345

Change NetID - Every MSU student is assigned an MSU e-mail address (MSU NetID) free of charge. Click here for instructions re: how to change it (there is a $10 fee for this service)

Help Desk - Can help you troubleshoot computer problems and will respond to questions about AFS, e-mail, or NET IDs - 517-432-6200

Innovation with Technology in Education Consultants (iTecs) - Available to consult with faculty members, instructors, and teacher candidates in the Department of Teacher Education regarding the use of emerging technologies as pedagogical and professional tools

MSU Computer Center - Links to frequently used computer resources at MSU, including info. re: a help center where you can take laptops for help with computer issues

Technology Interns (TIES) - Available to assist course instructors and graduate students in the College of Education in learning to use equipment, software, and with special projects. Located in 133 Erickson. Call 517-355-TIES (8437) or e-mail TIES. Hours are Mon. - Thurs., 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Fri., 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Center for Teaching & Technology

Computer Labs

Equipment - You can check out CD/DVD-RW Drives, digital cameras, data projectors, digital video cameras, microphones, voice recorders, etc., for use with your classes or for research projects through the Center for Teaching & Technology

E-tokens - Use these to print documents when you are in computer labs on campus

EZProxy - Allows you to access MSU Library resources from off campus

Instructional Media Center - Will set up and take down technology equipment that you have reserved in advance in classrooms all over campus

  • EGSO - Listserv for graduate students and interested faculty used to share information about conferences, housing, items for sale, and upcoming events
  • International Ed List
  • TE Grad Student List - Listserv for graduate students in the College of Education

MSU Computer Center - Links to frequently used computer resources at MSU, including info. re: a help center where you can take laptops for help with computer issues

MSU Computer Store - You can purchase computers and accessories, e-tokens for printing, and software at a substantial discount at this store on campus



Tools


Angel - Many course instructors at MSU post assignments, information, and course syllabi on Angel

E-mail - You can check your MSU e-mail by clicking on the link and logging into the system with your MSU NetID and password. You can set your user preferences to have all of your MSU e-mail forwarded to another account such as your home or Gmail account (strongly recommended)
